Originated in Covina, California. Introduced in 1947. Skin a light green with a tendency for brown blemishes. Season from early Oct. through Nov. Heavy and consistant producer. Tree resistant to frost, production heavy and consistant. Tall, sagging tree.

Originated from seed planted in 1895. Brought to Honolulu by Admiral Beardslee. This and a few seedlings of it were among the leading commercial varieties in Hawaii. Fruit season Nov. - April.

Parentage: Mexican

Mexican varieties have an anise smell to the leaves. This is a very typical Mexican variety.

Parentage: Guatemalan

Originated about 1910 as a seed from Mexico planted by Juan Murrieta in Los Angeles. A weak grower. Fruit season, July-September. The fruit is of good quality but too large commercially. The tree is short and spreading.
